FRANCO VARELA MENDEZ

The centuries old city of Chichén Itzá (chee--CHEN, eet ZAH) in Mexico contains architecture that still generates awe-inspired gasps by all who see these structures.

Three hundred sixty-five steps compose the four stairways that lead up to the incredible Pyramid of Kukulcan. The number of steps strategically corresponds to the number of days in a calendar year. Mexico is also home to featured jewelry designer Franco Varela Mendez.

There is nothing like the energy of New York City and today we are in the thick of Midtown Manhattan visiting Rockefeller Center.

Developed in the 1930s, the complex consists of some of the most iconic buildings and sculptures around including Radio City Music Hall and the bronze Prometheus statue. New York is also the home of featured jewelry designer Stephen Dweck.

Today we visit Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan, New York. Named for former Vice President Daniel D. Tompkins, the park's tumultuous and dramatic reputation has settled down in recent years.

Today the park's family-friendly 10.5 acres houses handball and basketball courts, playgrounds, and outdoor chess tables. New York is also the hometown of featured jewelry designer Madelaine Mayer.
